Boudoir des Muses, the most secretly well-guarded address in the Haut Marais.
Located at no. 6 rue de Saintonge, this mysterious building housed an enigmatic theater until 1807, which was closed on Napoleon's orders - because “the ladies who exhibited themselves there would have been too promiscuous” - then the Couvent des Filles du Calvaire, before being closed for over a century and transformed today into a hotel.
The design and ambience are inspired by this religious and sensual duality, which the owner wanted to create a unique and mysterious space. As you enter, a snake carpet guides you into the Boudoir des Muses, while hijacked religious symbols add an intriguing touch. The round bar, topped by a theatrical chandelier, invites conviviality. In the basement, the spa offers two distinct cabins: one mysterious with a pool and hammam, the other sensual with a jacuzzi and sauna.
